the window display in NY city's coolest homewares store called ABC carpet and home at Union Square which is 4-5 levels of homewares, heaven...... notice the gorgeous flower chandelier, photos actually don't do it justice.

this is from the swarvoski store in NY, the seat is totally gem studded, even more beautiful in real, wish i could have brought it home but i settled for a pair of earrings!

philippe starck

he seems to like monkeys and they are featured everywhere including on this signboard outside.

attention to detail even with the water and glasses in the bedroom.

this is the bathroom shelve complete with luxurious products

staying in the hotel below gave me a new design hero in Philippe starck, he is as mad as he is genius,my favorite designer to date. here are some more pics.that we took of the SLS in LA as designed by him.

red okra

Okra is my favorite vegetable, I have been trying to make it like my mum used to for a while now. I came close the other day with this organic red okra from my local farmers market. I used hing, curry leaves, chillies, ground cumin and coriander (freshly roasted and ground), salt and a lot of fresh coriander. Simple but divine with spelt flour roti.(indian flat bread).
