it's the month of birthdays, today being radharani's, she is the eternal consort of lord krsna and her beauty is poetically described in the ancient vedas as surpassing millions of autumn moons and lotus flowers, they say that even her anklebells resound various vedic mantras as she walks.she is the one who loves krsna most supremely, we consider her the feminine aspect of god.and today we celebrate her appearance on this earthly realm of vrindavan (india) more than 5000 years ago.
check out these Indian creations, design work passed through the generations, so intricate, i am looking forward to using work like these in my future designing life.
I have to remember to share more of my cooking photos, this was a glace ginger, cinnamon, poached pear and caramel macadamia cheesecake that i made yesterday, i am always poaching pears, i think my blog should have been paisley, peacock and pears!
we celebrated Krsna's birthday over the weekend with lots of festivities, we try to be as personal with Him as we can so we buy Him (in his form above) gifts, cook 108 different food preparations, make flowers arrangements which are His favorite, new outfits etc. being a cook i made 32 different food preparations for Him but i would like to try my hand at decorating His altar one day.
I am seeing a black revival seeping through, hey i already started by freshening up my cafe in a white/black color scheme, good to see that i am on course!
Sounds corny with so many t-shirts saying the same thing but you realize that phrase when you get there, life is never the same again. This is a photo we took of the flatiron building, great space saving design, flat in the front and gets bigger as you go.
This photo blog documents my finds in and everything to do with interior decoration and styling. But wait there's more! There are also photos of my coastal home town of byron bay and my love for NYC and even a sprinkling of vegetarian cooking and Indian fashion.
