20 things that nurture me
my dearest friend braja , tagged me to do this, what nurtures or feeds, protects, supports, encourages, inspires and nourishes me!!
1. firstly spirituality is what nurtures me the most, being connected to a higher Being and having a tangible relationship with Him.(Krsna below dressed and decorated by me)
2. family and friends (no photos for privacy purposes!!)
3.meditation esp. alone!
4. vegetarian & vegan cooking for my cafe as seen below and eating it too!
5. interior decorating and styling
6. designer furniture, pleasant to look at!
7. mystical, mysterious,meditative, moody India
8. NEW YORK, need i say more? some of my happiest days spent there..
9. beautiful homewares with lots of paisley or peacock designs like the wallpaper below
10. good music from meditative bhajans like below to jazz to pop etc
11. sunsets esp, the ones in india where they are amplified because of the smog/smoke.
12.good movies esp. OTT romantic ones like the one below or comedy
13.scented candles burning in my house or coupled with a bath or a good massage
14. good reading
15.painting
16. my home decorated in blue my favorite color and with flowers always.

delis
just continuing from the shared table, what else do you have inside these places, lots of marble, stainless steel, open food displays, food displayed in cool glass jars and in baskets,a bit industrial but very inviting at the same time as these following pics show from Dean and Deluca, Le pain quotidien, the movie set from It's Complicated etc. i absolutely love these deli style places with shared tables, i had to get dragged out of dean and deluca in NY! i am hoping to design one soon, is there any one out there who needs one done?

the shared table
I have been studying cafe interior design and I really like the shared table concept in a casual setting..
we shared a jet lag brunch at this one called Le Pain Quotidien in LA, and one of the cool things about sharing a table is that we got all the low down about LA from the locals at the table and we shared about Sydney.
we shared breakfast at this one in the SLS hotel in LA while spotting a couple of movie stars!
read the stools in this one they say cool stuff like "sit still", "sitting duck" etc
this Brisbane one has nice designer chairs and funny sign on top.
i love the blue and white combo of this one
