new vego cafe

this is a picture of a new vego. cafe in the gold coast called Govinda's where i got to help with the interior decoration, it is only a week old so there are more finishing touches to go like pictures on the walls etc.

red okra

Okra is my favorite vegetable, I have been trying to make it like my mum used to for a while now. I came close the other day with this organic red okra from my local farmers market. I used hing, curry leaves, chillies, ground cumin and coriander (freshly roasted and ground), salt and a lot of fresh coriander. Simple but divine with spelt flour roti.(indian flat bread).

My desired result after it all......meditating at the bank of the Ganges. This is my retirement plan, forget the grand kids,bowling and knitting!!! I am seriously looking forward to this by the time I am 55.....
